Season 2 starts next week Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.
This season comes with a new map, Ashika Island, which sees the return of Resurgence and includes new restricted areas, ranked play, additional multiplayer maps, and more.
exist war zone 2, the new map Ashka Island is a centuries-old village besieged by the Shadow Company forces. There are seven points of interest to explore, allowing you to sail around shipwrecks, ruins, a modern city center, beach clubs, harbors, organic farms, and even a fortified castle.
With the return of Resurgence, all squad sizes will be playable in regular playlist updates throughout Season 2. Resurgence mode allows multiple respawns as long as one squad member remains standing. If a squad member is eliminated while one or more squad members are still alive, a countdown will appear next to their names. When the countdown reaches zero, they will redeploy to the drop zone.
The countdown can be shortened by teammates performing in-game actions such as killing enemies. As each circle collapses, the countdown gets longer and longer until the last few circles. Here, all redeployments (except those purchased through the buy station) are disabled. The last squad standing wins.
Resurgence-exclusive Ashika Island features include restoring honor at launch, seasonal product searches and looting, data looting, redeploying drones, and new Rusher combatants.
Ashika Island will be a new restricted area in the DMZ as part of the new season, and it will continue the narrative with new features like the Boss Hideout.
