Minecraft continues to improve step by step without pause. The game, which is quite a giant, continues to add material to play with constant updates and playable possibilities. We already knew one, it’s about archeology, which was shown for the first time in 2020, but in the end it didn’t see the light of day as we expected and it was put on hiatus. It was obvious that she needed a good facelift.
The fact is that Mojang has already announced that this new feature will arrive on Minecraft with version 1.20 of the game. It seems that soon those who are registered in the preview versions of the game will be able to try it before the rest of the players.
Archeology will offer new blocks, new tools and functions
This new reimagining of the Archeology mode that was introduced years ago, brings with it a new block called “Suspicious Sand” that can be found near desert temples. Additionally, a new tool called Paintbrush will be included, which allows players to inspect these types of blocks to discover pottery shards and other random objects.
Of course, these won’t be the only features this new mode will offer, Mojan promises that it will add new features as they add new patches to the game. Inside the study are the new bamboo blocks, rafts, hanging signs, camels and a “sniffer”. All of this is planned for 2023.
When you’re ready to begin your new career as a Minecraft Archaeologist, or M’Archaeologist as he’s colloquially known, head to a nearby desert. This is where the sand lives. Yes, yes, the beaches also have sand. Good for them. But we are looking for a particular type of sand today. Pick a nice piece of land near desert temples and start shoveling. As we continue to work on archeology, more dig site areas will be added.
If you want to try out these new features before anyone else, you’ll need to sign up for the Minecraft beta program. Instructions for joining the various betas and previews of Bedrock Edition, as well as the Java Edition, You can find them here.
