While a number of companies have canceled their participation in PAX East in Boston, Gearbox has kept its word and has now announced the second campaign add-on to Borderlands 3. This will be released in the new month of March.

On the occasion of PAX East, Gearbox had several announcements about Borderlands 3 ready. Accordingly, the main game will also be available on Steam from March 13th. Special feature in this context: On the PC, the game will also enable cross-play between the various platforms Steam and Epic Games Launcher. This is made possible by the new SHiFT player search function.
As of March 26th, the second campaign add-on will be available, which will be called "Wummmen, Liebe und Tentakel: The Wedding of Wainwright & Hammerlock". Sir Alistair Hammerlock and Wainwright Jakobs finally want to say yes and want you to be present at their upcoming wedding on the ice planet Xylourgos. The adventurous lovebirds have chosen a location that could not be more exotic: the icy wasteland of Xylourgos.
There are not only brutal animals frolicking in the cold ice world, but also a group of creepy occultists is active and eager to separate the newlyweds. You have to fight the forces of the evil of the outside world and get to support the chamber hunter Gaige – known from past titles of the franchise – together with her inseparable robot buddy Deathtrap.
Gearbox also promises the following additional features and content for the large DLC:
- You meet old friends again and form a team with creepy new characters to help true love to triumph over the horrific horrors.
- Bloodthirsty opponents and impressive bosses, including strange beasts, hideously mutated occultists and a clan of cold-blooded bandits are a blatant challenge.
- A series of shattering side missions immerse you in the disturbing and sometimes silly background stories of the cursed villagers.
- The Chamber Hunters can be equipped with some of the deadliest pieces of equipment in the galaxy, including loads of additional legendary items and some particularly powerful class mods.
- Now you can really show your style with the many new cosmetic objects, from chamber hunter heads and skins to interactive room decorations and brand new vehicle skins
The second campaign DLC is part of the Season Pass and the Super Deluxe Edition, as was the case with "Moxxi's Attack on the Handsome Jackpot".
A third major DLC is to follow in the summer, and a fourth campaign DLC is also planned. In April, Chaos Mode 2.0 will be added to the game free of charge, as well as the seasonal event "Revenge of the Cartels". The second elimination follows in May after the one in the Maliwan secret facility last November. The new Guardian Elimination is said to offer particularly challenging new game content.
The second major campaign DLC called "Guns, Love and Tentacles" will be released in March 2020 for Borderlands 3.
