Game news Hogwarts Legacy playable in multiplayer? Discover the images of a crazy project
Hogwarts Legacy is already in the hands of the best modders in the world. And the latter have taken on a crazy project: to make the game multiplayer. And we already have the first pictures!
Hogwarts Legacy, the game of all records
Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy has just been released and it’s not one that’s holding back. The Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. title made a remarkable entry into the world of video games. 2nd largest launch on Steam, nearly 500,000 concurrent players on the same platform during early access, the most watched solo game on Twitch before Cyberpunk (1.3M concurrent viewers)… The game combines records and enchants players.
On the critical side, the game also has good reviews (Metascore of 85). It got a nice grade of 18 out of 20 from us. This is quite easily the best Harry Potter game ever offered and fans of the universe will have much to enjoy in the days to come. On the other hand, if you were hoping to experience the adventure with your friends, you might be disappointed. We knew it before release, Hogwarts Legacy is completely solo. There is no multiplayer mode or content. And if there’s one big update that fans are hoping for at least as much as Quidditch DLC, it’s this one. But thanks to modders, it might happen sooner than expected.
Multiplayer in Hogwarts Legacy?
Do you know The Together Team? This lovely group of modders is behind Skyrim Together, a mod that lets you play the Bethesda game in co-op.
The preview is short, but enough to make players dream of Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer. It must be said that the idea of walking the corridors of Hogwarts with your friends is as attractive as can be. It is all the more frustrating that normally a multiplayer game in the Harry Potter universe and even an MMORPG should have seen the light of day. At least that’s what Kim Salzer, former Director of Product Marketing at EA, said. In the early 2000s, it was actually EA that held the rights to the license to make video games adapted from the various books. And alongside Harry Potter at Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, a small team would have been working on this famous Harry Potter MMORPG project. However, the latter would have been canceled because EA thought that interest in this license would not last more than two years. Suffice it to say that the publisher is certainly biting its fingers today.
