It’s great to be here on Xbox Wire and talking about the one year anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh! duel masterthe free trading card game based on the popular manga by Kazuki Takahashi.
We had just started this time last year Yu-Gi-Oh! duel master for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Our goal was to make the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game to Duelists around the world and give them the definitive digital edition of the popular competitive card game.
To deliver this we have ensured Yu-Gi-Oh! duel master offered next-generation presentation, including 4K Ultra HD support and dynamic audio and music. We’ve included an in-depth single player solo mode based on the stories and lore behind the maps. We added over 10,000 cards to the game at launch, as well as an extensive deck building mechanic. In addition to supporting online duels, we’ve held competitions and events throughout the year and even added a team battle mode in November.
Since launching last year Yu-Gi-Oh! duel master has reached more than 50 million downloads. Duelists have fought in over 2.1 billion PvP duels and received more than 34.4 billion cards!
In case you haven’t played yet Yu-Gi-Oh! duel master, now is the perfect time to start. It’s been an incredible first year, and to celebrate, we’re launching the one-year anniversary campaign today.
To get in the spirit of celebration, we introduced the 1st Anniversary Pack to offer tons of bonus items that improve the Dueling experience. Everyone who purchases the bundle will receive the brand new 1st Anniversary Protector, Duel Field and Icon Frame.
The pack also grants you a new alternate-art card of one of the most famous cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! Lore, the Dark Magician. The map also features an awesome new summon scene! Another accessory included in the pack is an icon containing the wand-wielding wizard.
A total of three 1st Anniversary Tickets will be given away simply by logging into the game. A UR Royal Finish card is unlocked with each 1st Anniversary Free Pack you receive with 1st Anniversary Tickets. The 1st Anniversary Packs contain legendary monsters featured in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga and Anime in its long history. Additionally, the cards in the 1st Anniversary Pack can be combined with cards from the “New Step for Duelists” Selection Pack, available now, to enhance your deck.
Another brand new choice pack is available starting today. The Sprites of Miracle Choice Pack introduces the new archetype, Spright Yu-Gi-Oh! duel master. This archetype will burn bright and includes powerful new cards that are out of this world!
If you need a little more Dark Magician in your dueling life, we’ve got you covered with the Vortex of Magic Structure Deck. It’s out now and features cards based on the power of dark magic, including Master of Chaos and Illusion of Chaos.
Finally, duelists can look forward to a very special PvP event starting February 16th. The Legend Anthology event lets you compete against other Duelists by using some of the most famous themes from Yu-Gi-Oh! Story. You can take control of free rental decks that feature iconic archetypes specially chosen for this event! This PvP forever showdown has many special rewards for participants, so don’t miss it.
