Available since late last year, Hawkeye is a miniseries from the Disney Plus catalogue. The scenario takes place after the events of the movie Avengers: Endgame and focuses on the character of Clint Barton aka Hawkeye who will spend Christmas with his family. Things then go into a tailspin when Kate Bishop grabs her old costume and is targeted by all of the ex-Avengers’ enemies. Well, the six episodes of this mini-series are set to take the form of a… musical comedy.
The official Disney Parks Twitter account shared a brief teaser of a woman standing in front of the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure theme park in Anaheim. She is holding a program booklet with the phrase “Rogers: The Musical” printed on the cover. The tweet – A Timeless Story of a Timeless Hero – is short but leaves no doubt: Yes, a Hawkeye musical will be performed at Disney California Adventure throughout the summer. Interestingly, this production will focus on the famous Battle of New York from The Avengers, the 2012 film. It promises a great show with a wide variety of superheroes and stunts in all directions.

A Broadway specialist in the cast
You may not know him, but Adam Pascal will be directing this great show. Born on October 25, 1970, the 50-year-old is an American actor, singer and musician best known for his performance in the 1996 musical Rent. This show was a huge Broadway hit and a stepping stone for the artist who would later find fame in Elton John and John Rice’s Aida or Something Rotten – earning him a Tony Award. Man of television, shows, he has even composed various music albums and therefore knows the world of entertainment like the back of his hand. We can therefore expect an avalanche of superheroes in full action (from Black Window to Loki to the Hulk or Iron Man) against the backdrop of a dirty New York City :

Among the originalities this show will feature is said to be a certain Ant-Man…who didn’t appear in the 2012 film but appeared in the MCU three years later. So expect the musical to take a few liberties, but for those curious who will be attending this summer, the show will be on Disney California Adventure and it could be a great experience!
