When it was released in 2020, Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem was considered by many to be the one great alternative to Diablo 4. The hype has died down a bit in the meantime. Perhaps the game will soon experience its second spring. As the developers of Wolcen Studio have announced, a port for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 will be released shortly.
For many players, the action RPG Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem was considered a strong alternative to Diablo 4. No wonder, after all, the key data fit like a gem in the socket. You can expect a gloomy setting, gameplay from an isometric perspective, tons of loot, lots of skills and, of course, liters of pixel blood. However, the title was only released for the PC in 2020 and Wolcen Studio has not yet ported it to other platforms.

Now at least Sony fans get their money’s worth. As surprisingly announced, an implementation for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 will be released shortly. To be more precise, there are less than two weeks until the release. Already on March 16, 2023 you can face the demonic hordes.
The developers expressed their desire to bring Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem to consoles back in 2020. However, this is linked to the fact that the PC version is successful enough. Much to the luck of PlayStation players, that seems to have worked. It is not yet known whether there will be cross-play or cross-save.
So if you’re already sitting on hot coals until Diablo 4 appears on June 6, 2023, you can find a remedy here. However, the developers of Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem didn’t necessarily choose the smartest date for the release. On March 17, 2023, the first phase of the open beta for Blizzard’s competitors will finally start. After all, the PlayStation release fits quite well in terms of time, as the fourth and final chapter of Wolcen is due to appear shortly.
