After the success with the Resident Evil 2 remake, Capcom emphasized last year that it wanted to bring back more old games and successful brands in the future. That also fueled hopes for a comeback of Dino Crisis, but this could have been destroyed suddenly in the meantime.
At least that is now suggested by a new leak, after there had been speculations about a new Dino Crisis again and again in the past weeks. While Capcom is likely to bring back more classics or classic game series, Dino Crisis should not be one of them.
Where does the info come from? The TwitterUsers AestheticGamer announced the corresponding info in a corresponding short message. A source for this is not mentioned, but that user has a very good history of leaks around Capcom.
Time to break some hearts:
-Code Veronica remake is not in production right now, not even pre-production.
-A Dino Crisis game actually was started a few years ago, but then scrapped and buried, and the franchise for now is still extinct for the time being.– AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem (@ AestheticGamer1) February 29, 2020
Loud AestheticGamer Work on a new serial branch had actually started a few years ago, but the project was subsequently canceled and the Dino Crisis range has been on hold since then. Fans of the cult classic from 1999 must be strong and will probably have to wait a long time for a return, if there is one.

The user also emphasizes that fans of Resident Evil shouldn't be happy about a remake of Code Veronica either; such is currently not in the works and not even in pre-production. There had previously been rumors that such a remake could follow Resident Evil 3 next.
