As is known, Level Infinite and NExT Studios are currently working on the looter shooter Synced. This was previously announced for the PC, but should now also make the leap to consoles.
Developers and publishers have now jointly confirmed that Synced will be available for PC in the summer and, more recently, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Further information as well as details on the release date and the newly planned console versions will follow shortly.
The sci-fi shooter will be released in free-to-play format and is set in the near future. In this world, nanotechnology is now the backbone of civilization. After a cataclysm known as the “Collapse,” the nanomachines turned against their creators. In this apocalypse, you take on the role of Runners, a band of brave adventurers scouring the Meridian in search of the precious nano-energy substance, Nerva. You form teams of three players and fight dynamic PvE and PvP battles from now on.
Runners can also connect or sync with Prime Nanos, activating their nano companions. You can then use these strategically against nano hordes and human opponents. Each Prime Nano class (Oppressor, Crusher, Guardian, and Seer) has unique abilities and can be selected to suit playstyle. Up to two nanos can be equipped at the same time; you can then switch back and forth between them.
In PvE mode, teams of three explore abandoned wastelands, derelict industrial buildings, dark caves and more to face off against the nano hordes and powerful bosses. You have to collect resources and gradually get the nano-infection under control that has settled over the meridian. In PvP, it’s time to defeat other Runners and Nanos to get the most Nerva before time runs out and the Harvesters leave the map. In both formats, you can unlock powerful weapons and mods to further develop your character.
