Each month, the NPD Group publishes the latest data on video game software and hardware for the United States. Well, the latest data was released this week. This data is for the month of February 2023. The data also includes a chart showing the top selling games in the region for that month.
In this month’s top 10 list, 4 out of 10 games made their debut because those games launched at some point during the month. Among the new arrivals is Like a Dragon: Ishin from SEGA, which made it to #9. Meanwhile, Octopath Traveler landed at No. 10 in the rankings.
In terms of hardware, the PlayStation 5 was the best-selling hardware platform in terms of units and dollars. That includes February 2023, as well as the start of the year for 2023. The Nintendo Switch was the second best in units and the third best in dollars. You can see the top 10 rankings below.
