In recent years, Hollywood has focused on video games to try to bring the most successful games to the big screen. With the recent example of the Sonic movie, which has not done anything wrong despite the initial controversy, few releases have ended up triumphing, rather they are adaptations that have little to do with the original game. If we asked the users, there would be many games that would like to see movie facts, but if one stands out from the rest that is Super Mario Bros.
It is true that the 1993 Super Mario Bros. movie is one of the most infamous examples of adaptation of games to the cinema, but it is already working on its redemption with an animated film created by Illumination and Universal Pictures with Shigeru Miyamoto himself as co-producer. According to a survey conducted by The Hollywood Reporter, video game fans prefer to watch a Super Mario Bros. tape before Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, GTA or The Legend of Zelda.
