Tomorrow there will be another big live stream with news about the endgame in Diablo IV. It is already known, however, that a long-standing feature of earlier parts will no longer make it into the fresh offspring.
Diablo fans who have been around for many years will definitely have to change one point in the new Diablo IV. Blizzard Entertainment has now officially confirmed that a long-standing and beloved feature will unfortunately not return in the new action role-playing game.
What is meant this time is the overlay map, which was one of the quality-of-life features in earlier parts. You could put the map of the area semi-transparent over the screen and orient yourself – but that’s no longer possible in Diablo IV. So here you will have to rely on the minimap f or better or worse – or interrupt the gameplay to open the full map.
Blizzard General Manager Rod Fergusson said the developer had “no plans at the moment” to integrate the feature into Diablo IV. At the moment, nothing is known about the background to why this is not the case this time.
Most recently, Blizzard had communicated a number of changes that had been implemented based on experience in the beta and player feedback. On April 20th at 8:00 p.m. German time, a 90-minute developer live stream will start again with Game Director Joe Shely, Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora and Associate Director of Community Adam Fletcher, in which there will be news again .
Diablo IV will be released on June 6, 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
