WhatsApp calls it statuses, Facebook and Instagram call it stories, but really it’s the same story: ephemeral messages that disappear 24 hours later. A new WhatsApp setting along the way will allow us to Share all our WhatsApp statuses as Facebook stories.

Meta owns three of the major messaging apps, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram, so duplicates are inevitable. For example, all have, to a greater or lesser extent, a function of stories.
Facebook and Instagram Stories have been built-in (optional) for many years now, but Meta has it a bit trickier with WhatsApp as these are accounts that go free. Since 2019, it’s been possible to manually share WhatsApp statuses as Facebook stories, but now it looks like Meta has something more ambitious on its hands: share whatsapp status always on facebook
This setting is not yet visible in WhatsApp settings, but we were able to access it unofficially and it is quite self-explanatory. will be called Share on Facebook and it will have a single button: Always share on Facebook story. The descriptive text clearly indicates that the status will be automatically shared with the current audience that has been selected on Facebook.

It is possible that from here it is also possible to extend self-editing to a linked Instagram account as well.
