If you have access to street fighter 6 beta, and you continue to play the game beyond the allotted time, you may need to stop early Capcom find out.
In a recent tweet from the Capcom Fighters Twitter account, the developer shared that it found some players had been playing the Street Fighter closed beta test, even though the test had technically ended. As such, Capcom clarified that any other players who do so may be banned from some upcoming tournaments featuring fighting games.
“We’ve noticed that some users have accessed the Street Fighter VI Closed Beta Testing (CBT) software and played the game outside of the specified time period,” the statement read. “This is a violation of the CBT Terms of Service and can be considered a violation of the Capcom Pro Tour Code of Conduct.
“For the avoidance of doubt, from now on, any player with clear evidence of unauthorized access to CBT may be deemed ineligible for the upcoming Capcom Pro Tour and Street Fight League seasons. We appreciate your cooperation and Understanding helps preserve the fairness and competitive integrity of our game.”
Essentially, if you get caught, your path as a pro could be over, at least for this season’s tournament. The point seems to be that Capcom doesn’t want some players to have the advantage of being able to practice the game more than others, so it seems to be enforcing this in the name of fairness. This is, for lack of a better word, fair!
It’s important to note that this appears to be different from Capcom’s recently released demo, which was limited in scope but did let you try out the open-world portion of the game, as well as Luke and Ryu.
