The recent leak that revealed the arrival of Nicholas Cage, the new assassin Singularity and the survivor Gabriel Soma to Dead by Daylight forced Behavior Interactive to move up their game’s 7th anniversary and chapter 28 presentation. Here’s what’s coming to the game in the future.

Roadmap 2023 – 2024
We’ve already taken a look at the roadmap detailing the content coming to the game over the next year.
They clarified that two of the new assassins that will arrive at Dead by Daylight belong to two important licenses. They didn’t reveal what they are but fans are rumoring they could be. Alien y Predator.
Revelation of chapter 28: Final transmission
Although we had already seen it thanks to the leak, Behavior took advantage of the 7th anniversary presentation to officially reveal the progress of the Chapter 28: Final Transmission which introduces to Dead by Daylight the new assassin The Singularity and the survivor Gabriel Soma.
This chapter takes us to a science fiction horror scenario in a possible future on a distant planet where an artificial intelligence has rebelled against the crew of a stranded spaceship. Could it have something to do with the ruins of an old alien civilization on the planet?
The Singularity uses ‘biopods’ into which it splits its consciousness to surprise a survivor and infect them, who in turn can infect other survivors.
The Content of Chapter 28: Final Transmission will be available on the test server on Tuesday, May 23 and it will be live for all players of Dead by Daylight on June 13, 2023.
Gameplay and quality of life improvements
During the rest of the year we can expect the following gameplay and quality improvements gradually through updates to Dead by Daylight.
- Changes to the maps to make them more balanced and not seen as favoring Killers or Survivors.
- To prevent Assassins from “face-camping” – standing in front of a Survivor on the hook waiting for them to die – Hooks will now have a meter that fills up based on how far away the Killer is.
- Equipment and perk presets will be easier to manage thanks to a search function.
- If a user disconnects, they will be replaced by a ‘bot’ so that the game is not interrupted or the survivors are at a disadvantage.
- They will add customizable Player Cards.
- Responses to reports made by players.
comic Dead by Daylight
Volume 1 of the comic based on the video game – which will narrate the origin of the assassin known as The Legion – will go on sale in June 2023. It will have different covers and a code to claim an exclusive pendant in the game.
Volume 2 will arrive in July and later volumes 3 and 4.

Following the example of the unexpected Hooked by YouSupermassive Games (The Quarry, Until Dawn) is developing a new single player game based on the universe and mythology of Dead by Daylight.
Midwinter Entertainment (Scavengers) is also working on a new title in the franchise. It will be a cooperative multiplayer game.
We would like these projects to go ahead and be as successful as Riot Forge’s.
What’s coming to the store in 2023
As we already knew, cosmetic collections inspired by rock bands will arrive this year Iron Maiden y Slipknot. The first will revolve around the band’s mascot Eddie and the second will be based on the masks of its members.
We also looked again at some of the designs made by Japanese developer Ikumi Nakamura (Okami, The Evil Within) for Dead by Daylight. They will be cosmetics for Yui, The Legion (Julie) and The Oni.
With that hairstyle, we think Yui looks just like Nakamura herself.
And we couldn’t leave behind the collaboration with the classic game Naughty Bear.
This will be the 7th anniversary celebration event in Dead by Daylight
Father Campbell’s chapel will have a visual redesign for the celebration. There will also be 12 new skins for 12 new characters. You can see what they will be in the image below.
During the games we will find mysterious masked spirits whose purpose has not been revealed. To get the masks we will have to collect one again invitationbut this time it will give us powers that we can use in the middle of the game such as blocking windows, summoning obstacles or breaking them from a distance. If we want the reward, we will have to have at least one unspent power charge at the end of the game.
In addition to the tome with new cosmetics, Nea and the villager will be the stars of the event and they will have special costumes.
All cosmetics from the past masquerade will be available in the store.
Nicolas Cage in Dead by Daylight
