Square Enix and Forever Entertainment have confirmed that Front Mission 2 Remake has now been delayed saying “this decision was not made lightly”. The company informed fans that they spoke with the development team and decided that they needed “sufficient time to add as much functionality as possible” and this was done “to meet your expectations for a modern remake.” Forever Entertainment says that they cannot give a new release date this time, but they are working hard to meet fans’ expectations.
“As the release date for Front Mission 2: Remake approaches, we have made the decision to delay the release of the game on Nintendo Switch. This decision was not made lightly, but in cooperation with the development team, we want to ensure that we have enough time to add as much functionality as possible while continuing with proper implementation and tests, in order to meet your expectations for a modern remake.
We understand the anticipation surrounding Front Mission 2: Remake and the excitement you’ve shown during its development. Rest assured that we are fully committed to delivering a polished and faithful remake of your beloved franchise.
While we cannot provide an exact revised release date at this time, we can assure you that we are working tirelessly to complete the project as soon as possible, with the goal of releasing the game in the third quarter of this year.
