Since the PlayStation Showcase this week, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is known to have a specific release date. The question remains: Will the game for the PC also come directly to Steam?
In the recent past, Ubisoft has also brought a number of games to the popular PC platform Steam, after previously avoiding it for a long period of time. So, is there any hope that Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will make it straight to the Valve platform for release on October 12, 2023?
Unfortunately, the answer to this question is no, because Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will not be available on Steam from launch. As Ubisoft has confirmed in the meantime, one of the most anticipated Ubisoft games of this year will initially only be available on PC via the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store.
It is unclear if and when Mirage could hit Steam at a later date. If you look at the past few weeks and months, such a step would certainly be likely, since the company has placed a number of games on the platform. There is no official confirmation as to Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.
Just this week, a first gameplay trailer for the title was released, which explained that Mirage would return to the franchise’s stealth and parkour roots, as you know it from the first games in the series. You can watch the video again below.
In Assassin’s Creed: Mirage you slip into the role of Assassin Basim and make Baghdad unsafe. The title will be released on October 12, 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
