Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) wants to stand up for his girlfriend and takes it personally. Now, ahead of the start of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” Season 2, Star Anson Mount explains why the two have such a close friendship.
On June 15, 2023, the new episodes will start streaming on Paramount+ and the court case will take place relatively early in the season. In the trailer for “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” season 2 we already saw Una back on board the Enterprise. So we can hope for a good outcome in court.
Pike is certainly very pleased about this, as he regularly refers to his number one as the best first officer Starfleet has to offer. In conversation with US magazine Screen Rant Anson Mount now delves deeper into where Pike’s appreciation for Una actually comes from.
[Pike und Una sind] friends since starfleet academy. And I think Una has become that friend and confidante for Pike, who is able to address the things that he’s self-critical about and thinks are his weaknesses. Because if you look at things differently, they can also be perceived as strengths… and that’s why she’s so important to him, even as a captain.
