Nox Hummer Nova, technical features

The Nox Hummer Nova is a ATX semester box and panel a warm glass the left side, and built in SPCC steel 0.8 mm. Accept the plates ATX, MicroATX and Mini-ITX. As for the interior, accept graphics cards up to 380 mm, and heatsinks up to 165 mm. We can also place 240/280/ 360 mm in front, or 120/25 mm in top. At the last level, depending on the configuration we choose, we can put up to five SSDs and a hard drive, or up to four hard drives.

Inbox and outbox updates

The cardboard box has some similarities with the rest of the company. One of the sides we get the technical details of the box, and as soon as we open it we see a curious arrangement. Instead of using cork or plastic, the box is protected with a polyester system and a more flexible cardboard, as it reduces the use of plastic to swap cardboard, which is also easier to remove.

The box comes with a plastic cover, as well as a glass-free protection to avoid cuts or problems. The glass is mixed with some black color. The front panel is completely metal, and has a small handle that allows its opening.

On the front we find a grid where fans take in the air, in the way they hoped they had modern boxes that let the air pass through the back of the box for a taste of beauty.

At the back we get an I / O port, seven tilt zones, and a rear fan mounting grid. Adding a rear flag is highly recommended, but it's also not important because of the great air movement by the two front fans. The rear fan allows for a higher ratio of height adjustment, although in one setting it is easy to set it as low as possible with adjustments that allow it to be at the same level as the CPU heatsink.

At the top we get in touch with the buttons we mentioned earlier. For me, it's more comfortable to get them programmed vertically rather than horizontally, where the USB 3.0 connector may be remote, however in this case the above configuration is to optimize direct airflow.

The dust filter is electrically charged, just like the one we found inside the front fans, and both are worth all the good ideas we make, because there are some manufacturers that in the models exceed 100 euros left on the filters.

Below the box we find four feet separating the vibration box, but also allowing it to be easily moved. The dust filter here has no mirrors, but is held in small metal plates, as we often find in these places in other boxes. From here we also have access to storage hardware for storage. In total, as we can see, we have 3 images of dust: one at the top, one at the front, and one at the bottom. All that is good to prevent dust from coming to our PC.

The box also includes a large number of screws and flanges to place everything properly inside. In the bag attached to the part where the source goes, we get a slice of four graphics card slots, placed at a maximum of 7 locations, thus reducing the number to four when deciding to bet Configuration.

In the screws we find 8 source and similar screws, 19 with motherboard and SSD, 8 hard drives, 5 risers and board speaker. Three of the risers will be needed if we have a large ATX board similar to the X570, as we will see later in the assembly. We also received 8 ties to order cables.

An internal review

The two side panels have screws that have a system that allows it to be removable enough to allow the panel to be removed from the box, but that the screw is attached to the panel to prevent it from being lost and help later to spread it faster. The glass panel of this Nox Hummer Nova can also be fitted over to keep the sound from being heard.

As for the space inside, we have trouble-free pass-through pockets and put it in the back, or maybe it's just a space where we don't get flexible tires to pass the cables from the front to the front and prevent them from blinking, for example those hanging from the top panel are automatically visible and you have to pass the flat to set them aside they do not appear to be hanging. In addition, one of those strings was "unveiled" and has several colored strings that are very easy to spot.

Before heading back, to the main deck we find a small bracket at the bottom to place the last units. Most boxes don't use this extra space, and it's about putting the units there. We can put a 3.5-inch hard drive, or two 2.5-inch SSDs. When we remove it, we have the same texture with the holes we find above the source to facilitate the cooling of the units we have below.

On one side we find the wires, the other bracket to put the storage units, the controller of the fans and their light, the source casing, and the bottom storage bin. It has a 28 mm hiding area behind, enough space.

As for wires, we get the connector for two USB ports, the USB 3.0 port connector, the connector connector, and the power, function and LED connectors (this is later connected to the controller, but still able to set a reset). The controller allows connecting up to four fans with their corresponding LED headlights. By default the two fans and their RGB light are connected.

The drying bracket for storing storage units is similar to the one found earlier, so we can put a 3.5-inch hard drive on its side, or two SSD units. Personally, I prefer to have a solid horizontal horizontal drive and leave this type of SSD installation.

Finally, we have a low hard drive or two hard drive drivers (one inside and one above), or a hard drive down with SSD up. As we can see, the box offers a wide variety of storage options.

Check with the assembly

The meeting at this Nx Hummer Nova is really simple, because it's all open and spacious. In fact, even less is possible to connect the wires to the power supply if we already have it installed and want to install one connector again without removing it. The well is easily lubricated with four screws, then rests with rubber feet to prevent vibration and lift it slightly from the bottom of the box.

The base plate is properly cracked with threaded screws, but it is necessary to place the next three items in the bag in case the plate is ATX, mounted in holes on the right side. Remember, watch out for the depth of the heatsink. The box accepts heatsinks up to 165 mm; only the GamerStorm Assassin III has it. The heatsink sits just a few miles from the glass. This, meanwhile, means that, when this heatsink comes in, just about anyone else will enter the market.

So, the support is really good, and we have plenty of room above the cables to comfortably transmit, as well as being able to install the radiator and its fans with enough torque. In the case of wanting to install liquid cooling, even though the radius is 360 mm ahead, we can lose 200 fans. Therefore, it is best to place one with 240 or 280 mm radiators on top.

Installing the SSD also has it much simpler, removing the bracket with only the screw in hand. When we set it up, we have enough space to connect SATA cables; even if the center connector has to be rolled.

In the shape of the graphics card, the detail we liked is that it leaves enough space to connect the cables, while some boxes leave the graphics card too close to the top brackets and some strings may not go wrong. In this case we have plenty of space.

The Power Connectors and others that we link to the box buttons are difficult to install, which is good because that method will not be left alone when we touch something inside the box. Where we can find a problem is we have an HD Audio connector, because it is very large and you have to squeeze it a bit between the plate and the hole as we can see in the next picture, leaving the object intact.

Finally, with everything connected, we turn on the computer and see its light, and hear the tremendous air movement displayed by the front fans even in low revolutions. This good air flow is why the company has decided not to install a rear fan, even though it does not hurt.

In fact, the most impartial and quiet way is to place two fans of 120 or 140 mm at the front and one at the back, as it is not only air travel, but also pressure.

In addition, fans, being much larger and producing less air flow, will probably produce more noise, in which case airflow is better to have a computer down or a different head height And depending on the computer you have, you may not need that much cooling. Of course, if you have the hottest components, air flow will thank you more.

In addition, the default fan settings can be changed. It is possible to place 200 mm inserted fans behind the filter, although it is best to do it with 120 mm fans. As we can see from the following photos, for this we are sure to filter the dust and protect the fans, and without losing the airflow process.

Another good point about good box design is that it leaves enough space for the graphics card connector, where in some boxes in the market we may have problems accessing the plug properly on other cables.

In our case, the processor, the Ryzen 5 3400G, was resting at 26 ° C at a temperature of 20 ° C. So, we have the top fan fed the heatsink to the air, as well as the bottom fan to the graphics card. Good preparation, but that would be a bit "overprotective" for a middle-school computer. If you're using a 9900K or a third-generation Ryzen, it's really hot, this box is ideal for this.

The box doesn't have a reset button, but once you've got the color you want to leave on the fans, there's a little plan: change the LED connector cable. As you have seen in the photos of the fan controller and the LED light, there is a two-pin cord from the indicator to the LED controller.

That cord is similar to that of the power and reset that we connect to the right side of the board normally when we build a PC, so by simply plugging it in there you'll already have an active reset button.

Conclusion

The box is reminiscent of the Cooler Master H500 range, and with a 200mm front wing. In this case, the Nox Hummer Nova is a much cheaper model, since it costs 40 euros, the Nox box exchange is much lower depending on what's available, such as connecting a USB 3.0 connector instead of two, or excluding the rear fan, on the front of the H500 which includes .

Not including the rear fan to make the box more economical, and not a factor considering the huge amount of air going in, but at its price it wouldn't be too great to add it to improve the pressure.
