Squid Game remains Netflix’s biggest series in the world to this day, and as such many will be happy to hear that it’s coming back for more.
The Korean dystopian show follows a group of civilians desperate to win a massive cash prize. They are put through a series of grueling challenges, where they go head-to-head in twisted versions of children’s games. If they lose, they face deadly consequences.
If you want to know when the show is coming back, who will be back, and what we’re expecting, then we’ve got everything you need to know. We also have similar items for other Netflix Originals like Stranger Things and The Witcher.

Production is expected to start this summer and should last around ten months according to The Digital Fix. With that in mind, we reckon we’ll see the show return in the second half of next year.

What will be the plot of Squid Game season 2?
Netflix has not looked into the plot of Squid Game season 2, but we can estimate what it will be.
Season 1 ended with Seong Gi-hun making a quick decision to re-enter the game after meeting the scout again (after a quick stop at the hairdresser to get a flashy new do).
As the Front Man has been confirmed to return, we assume Gi-hun will attempt to bring down the game from within as a competitor – but will he be able to sway anyone towards his cause?
Part of what makes the series so successful is its gruesome games, so we’re expecting more gruesome and elaborate settings for the second series.
Will Squid Game return for season 3?
Last year, creator Hwang Dong-hyuk told Variety there was a “50-50” chance the show’s second season would be its last – so it’s possible Squid Game could return for a third. season.
We’ll probably learn more as Season 2 approaches.
