don’t expect Assassin’s Creed Mirage Having a big, sprawling map, as it’s going to be closer in size to games like Revelations’ Constantinople.
With more and more news about Assassin’s Creed Phantom, it’s becoming clear just how much the game has returned to its series roots. One of the things that the game has changed a lot over the years is how big the maps are – if you’ve played them, you know that recent titles like Valhalla and Odyssey are much bigger compared to older games. But according to Easy Allies, you can expect Mirage’s map to be closer in size to Revelations’ Constantinople and Unity’s Paris.
“They specifically compared it to Constantinople in Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Paris in Assassin’s Creed Unity,” shared Easy Allies’ Michael Huber, who spoke with Ubisoft about the game. “They say it’s that big.” The two maps themselves are slightly different sizes, as this video covers map size comparisons for all games; Constantinople is smaller at 0.94 square kilometers, while Paris is slightly larger times, it is 2.40 square kilometers.
For context, Valhalla’s England is bigger than those two maps combined, at 94 square kilometers, and Odyssey’s Greece is even bigger at 130 square kilometers. It’s safe to say that if you’re an Assassin’s Creed player and are getting a little tired of the actual scale of these games, you’ll have a better time in Mirage.
Last week we also got our first look at the full gameplay of Assassin’s Creed: Phantom, with eight minutes to let us see what we can expect from it – yes, it looks like an early version of Assassin’s Creed, it sounds Not a bad thing!
Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches on October 12, and you’ll be able to play it on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
