We are days away from the release of the seventh Mission: Impossible movie in cinemas. Dead Reckoning Part One brings back a familiar face from Ethan Hunt’s past – Eugene Kittridge. In true series fashion, Hunt Goes Rogue can set them on opposite paths.

How to watch the Mission: Impossible movies in order
The Mission: Impossible movie viewing order is simple – just follow the release dates:
- Mission Impossible (1996)
- Mission: Impossible 2 (2000)
- Mission: Impossible 3 (2006)
- Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011)
- Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015)
- Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018)
- Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (to be released – 2023)
- Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two (to be released – 2024)
Note that this list is only for Tom Cruise movies. Before all that, there’s the TV series (and singular movie) that largely follows IMF director Jim Phelps – a character played by multiple actors over the years. The films that follow Ethan Hunt function as sequels to these stories.
They’re not mandatory to watch, but here are the release dates (which put them ahead of the list above):
- Mission Impossible (1966-1973)
- Mission: Impossible against the crowd (1969)
- Mission Impossible (1988-1990)
How to watch the Mission: Impossible movies in the US
In the United States, the easiest way to watch all the Mission: Impossible movies is to stream them on Paramount+. Accounts cost $5.99 for ad-supported viewing and $11.99 for ad-free viewing with Showtime content. This platform also broadcasts the television series of the sixties. You can also get Paramount+ through Amazon Channels.
New users can get a seven-day free trial, although Paramount+ sometimes offers promotions for up to a month at no additional cost. Free streaming service Pluto also has Rogue Nation to watch.
Mission: Impossible versus the mob and Mission: Impossible series from the 80s are not available on Paramount+, so you will have to rent or buy them.
You can get all other Mission: Impossible installments from Prime Video, Google Play, and YouTube.
How to watch the Mission: Impossible movies in the UK
UK viewers can watch all of the Tom Cruise Mission: Impossible movies on Paramount+ (£6.99 a month with a seven-day free trial), plus Sky Now’s streaming service via cinema subscription, at the price from £9.99 per month.
There is no free trial for Now, but bundles for new customers are available. Sky Cinema customers also have access to these films.
Additionally, Mission: Impossible, Mission: Impossible II and Mission: Impossible III are all available to stream for free on the Channel 4 streaming service. You can also get Paramount+ through Amazon Channels.
Again, The Jim Phelps Saga isn’t available on any streaming service, so you’ll have to buy or rent them.
