I admit, I really want this new Forza Motorsport. Technically it would be the eighth installment in the franchise, but since Turn10 they have decided to do a sort of “clean slate” and start over with the name. Call it the revival of Xbox’s most popular driving franchise.
And it’s not for less, the studio has really done a pretty big job of recomposition. To begin with, they gave Forzatech a better performance to take advantage of the power of the Xbox Series, and thanks to this we will have ray tracing, which will make the game outrageous. Let’s not forget that it’s built with Microsoft’s beast as its base platform.
The new Forza shines in motion
The fact is that a driving game has little room for improvement on a visual level, it is the case no matter how much it weighs on us. I think this genre has already peaked in the last generation and now we can only go for better models, better textures and above all, lighting. In the rest, polygoning and final visual composition, it is difficult to surprise.
However, Turn10 achieves this with this new installment, and the proof of this is the official comparison that they have published on their channel, where they face version 7 of the game against this new installment. You may see improvements in reflexes and overall fluidity
Forza Motorsport Creative Director Chris Esaki takes an in-depth look at the new AI driving mechanics and tire physics technologies that make Forza Motorsport the most competitive, immersive and technically advanced racing game ever.
