Systems such as killstreaks and prefabricated weapon loadouts are actually in stark contrast to Battle Royale. Call of Duty still brings both mechanics from the Modern Warfare multiplayer to Warzone mode. We have summarized how this works in practice here.
Killstreaks for money
Before there are riots: No, you can't just pull out your credit card and let kill streaks rain on your opponents in the best Pay2Win manner! Instead, Warzone is based on an in-game currency.

Each player always starts with empty pockets and collects coal from completed opponents, from boxes or through fulfilled mini-orders in the course of the round. You then carry this money to so-called buy stations and exchange it for equipment or killstreaks.
The shop offer includes, for example:
- Armor Plates, improves our armor
- Cluster Strike, a powerful artillery strike
- Gas mask, protects us from the poison gas zone for 12 seconds
- UAV, an enemy reconnaissance drone
- Ammunition box, supplies cartridges for us and the team
- and many more
The more powerful an item or killstreak is, the more expensive the fun will be. In addition, each player can only carry one killstreak with them. We don't earn bonuses in Warzone through series of kills. At the stations we also buy Revive tokens for fallen comrades who have not survived the Gulag – so you have to carefully consider what you spend your hard earned money on!
Loadouts are contested
Your ten gun setups pre-built in Gunsmith are also represented in Warzone – but logically you can't just take them into the match. Instead (like many other Battle Royale games) regular supply drops at random locations above the map
If you make it to the drop point quickly and can assert yourself there, pull out a loadout of your choice from the drop – including weapon attachments, grenades and perks. The undertaking should not be easy, because of course the supply drops are very competitive.
By the way, even Free2Play players can earn XP, level weapons and create loadouts without the main game by shooting down or completing mission objectives. Ratchets unlocked in the Battle Pass are also part of Warzone.
