The Witcher is a franchise that is successful in all its forms. In addition, a current game that is different from the previous ones is a great success. You can find all the details here.
The Witcher saga, originally a literary series, has diversified into several areas, especially video games, where Geralt’s adventures are particularly valued. Beyond its established video game universe, the franchise still develops products derived from that universe. This game, already popular with audiences, has just announced very good news.
The Witcher, but on set
Path of Destiny is not a video game, but a recently released board game. Developed by Go On Board, the same developers as The Witcher Old World, this game allows up to 5 players to immerse themselves in the world of Andrzej Sapkowski, but also offers the opportunity to play alone. Unlike a classic strategy game, Path of Destiny presents itself more as an adventure game in which players embody key characters from Sapkowski’s universe and take part in their story. Fan interest in this title is evident, as evidenced by the rapid and enthusiastic funding.
The good news is that the crowdfunding campaign was a complete success. With an initial goal of $75,000 to fund the project, the campaign managed to raise more than $4 million. With 9,350 people supporting the project, The Witcher Path of Destiny has already broken a record on the specialized Gamefund platform. Not a surprising success, as the board game grossed a total of $1 million in just 24 hours. Recently, the developers released the first post-campaign update, which provides an overview of the project’s progress.
