Last year it was announced that Kojima Productions was collaborating with Microsoft on an Xbox exclusive game, and at The Game Awards the game was finally officially shown off.
The fact that it would be a horror game called Overdose had already been leaked. But now he has officially introduced himself as OD. The game will use the Unreal Engine and use Metahuman technology. OD is a horror experience which will use Microsoft’s cloud technology, as Kojima himself also hinted months ago. It is described as “a game, but also a film” by Hideo himself.
The game will star Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer and Udo Kier. The latter had already been involved in the world of video games, playing in films like BloodRayne or Far Cry. It has been confirmed that Kojima and his team will in close collaboration with American horror actor and filmmaker Jordan Peele. Watch the trailer below.
