In addition to the free games on PlayStation Plus Essential, which are accessible to all subscribers and then permanently available, there is also a game subscription comparable to Game Pass with the more expensive levels Extra and Premium, in which the range of games changes regularly. Now a number of titles are saying goodbye again.
In December, the new additions to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game subscriptions are still pending; these are expected in the middle of the month. However, in the coming weeks you will also have to say goodbye to a number of titles that are leaving the offer again. Two dates are relevant: A first round of games will no longer be available from December 19th, 2023, and a second batch of games will be available from January 16th, 2024.
In December there are a total of eleven titles that will no longer be part of the game subscription; Nine more games will follow in January, so that a total of 20 titles will be left on offer. Some well-known representatives are also affected, including Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, two Yakuza games, Devil May Cry 5 and Pillars of Eternity 2.
No longer included with PlayStation Plus from December 19th:
- Caladrius Blaze (PS4)
- Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo HD Edition (PS4)
- The Son – A Wild West Tale (PS4)
- Foreclosed (PS4, PS5)
- Friday the 13th: The Game (PS4)
- Legends of Ethernal (PS4)
- Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (PS4)
- Middle-earth: Shadow of War (PS4)
- The Escapists 2 (PS4)
- Yakuza 6: The Song of Life (PS4)
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS4, PS5)
The following nine games will follow on January 16th:
- It Takes Two (PS4, PS5)
- Devil May Cry 5 (PS4)
- Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition (PS5)
- SnowRunner (PS4, PS5)
- JETT: The Far Shore + Given Time (PS4, PS5)
- Everything (PS4)
- Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition (PS4)
- The Missing: JJ Macfield and the Island of Memories (PS4)

If you still want to play individual games as part of an existing PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscription, you should hurry up and get started as quickly as possible. We will of course also report on the new additions to the service in December as soon as Sony has confirmed them.
