Fotnite Winter Festival is upon us, and it’s a riot of snowy festive fun. If you want to take the lead in Fortnite Battle Royale this Christmas, when you jump off the bus, find Winterberg and Sgt Winter.
Here’s a quick guide on how to do this, but be aware that while it’s easy to take out Sgt Winter, there will almost certainly be other players on the island trying to steal your prizes. Be careful out there!
Oh, and while you’re on the island, make sure to open all the presents (especially the huge green ones) to get some bonus loot.
How to find Winterberg and Sgt Winter
While on the bus, look at a small offshore island at the northernmost point of the map. Winterberg is a small circular island with a low area of ice in the center and raised snowbanks supporting several buildings at the edges.
Once landed on the island, Sgt Winter is very easy to spot. Listen to his loud laughs and “ho, ho, ho” noises and engage him whenever you are ready. It won’t get worse until you attack it.
Once he’s down, open the presents in the middle of the island for some extra loot (especially target the coin-sized green boxes).
Then you’ll need to swim a bit to get back to the mainland, but once you know the location and layout of the island, it’s very easy to flush the area for a few good guns and then start paddling before the circle begins to close. .
Landing here will help you complete your Winterfest challenges, especially those that require you to land in snowy areas, and the one that requires you to land on Winterberg and finish in the top 20.
