Just a few days ago AMD presented us with its new processors for laptops, among which, as star, we had the Ryzen 8945HSa processor that was seen in a Geek bench from an ASUS device, the first from the brand with this component.
It’s likely that this won’t be the only computer we see these days that powers the new AMD, however, it can serve as a first guide to its actual score and specs, so let’s take a look.
ASUS presentation with AMD Ryzen 8945HS
Apparently, a leak from Geekbench showed us a device from ASUS with AMD’s new high-end processor, the Ryzen 8945HS. This CPU would be made up of 8 cores and 16 threads with a speed that would reach 5.2 GHz, as well as a TDP between 35W and 54W
The new laptop that ASUS will present concerns the ROG Zephyrus G14which will not only carry this new AMD component but also the AMD Radeon 780M Integrated Graphicswithin a device with a 14-inch screen.
In the image we can see how this processor behaves at a speed of 4.0 GHz basereaching that maximum of 5.2 GHz, with a 24 MB cache. All this on a computer with Windows 11 Pro operating system and 32 GB of DDR5 RAM.
It seems that ASUS is still committed to collaborating with AMD, which is going well for them at the moment. We will see how it behaves with this new processor, which generates a significant score of 2,330 points with a single core and a total of 12,906 in multi-core.
For now, the company has not announced its range of ROG Zephyrus laptopswhere we could see other computers with the rest of the new AMD processors, however, they revealed that they will hold an event at CES in Las Vegas that will take place between January 9 and 12, called Transcendence. It is likely that there we can learn more details about everything the company has prepared for us for 2024, including these teams.
So for now, we’ll have to wait. There is nothing left for this great event where we will learn more details about the world that awaits us, at a technological level, for 2024. There are too many companies and interesting news that we will see during these days, so we will have a lot to analyze. Next year doesn’t look bad at all, we’ll see if that doesn’t disappoint us.
In summary, the processors that AMD presented to us a few days ago are already operational, and we know that at least ASUS will integrate them into its next range of laptops. And it won’t be the only one. We will therefore wait for any further leaks or official communications to be able to see them in operation, although it seems that, based on the first results, they will leave a good taste in our mouth.
And you what do you think ? Do you think it’s good that ASUS continues to bet on AMD? Will it have the expected performance for a truly competitive price? Or will they end up being less successful than expected of them?
