In December, EA Sports FC 24 and PlayStation 5 were best sellers in the UK.
6.9 million video games (physical and digital) were sold in the UK in December. In addition, almost 500,000 consoles were sold.
During the Christmas month, EA Sports FC 24 was the best-selling video game in the region. For Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III it was only enough for second place, but still ahead of Hogwarts Legacy and Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
The best-selling console was the PlayStation 5, which came out on top despite a 19% decline from November in the final month of the year. The Nintendo Switch was up 39% over the previous month, while Xbox Series X|S was only up 6%.
