The news is actually something special, especially since the modder group is on Reverse engineering specialized in software. Legally, publishers would have the opportunity to prevent such work on their own intellectual property, as was the case recently when the first Red Dead Redemption was ported to a PC.
The Nomad Group does that long negotiations with Ubisoft in which they had to explain their plans and goals in detail. In the end, however, an agreement was reached that includes working with Ubisoft.
"We managed to make an agreement. They officially allow us to work with them on mods for the Watch Dogs franchise. This is a big step forward, not just for the Watch Dogs modding community, but also for the entire modding community worldwide. "
The phrase "Watch Dogs Franchise" suggests that Nomad Group may also be working on mods for the upcoming Watch Dogs: Legion. We have also followed up on this at Ubisoft, but have not yet received a response to the publication of this message.
