“Galaxy AI is Here”: Under this motto, Samsung presented the Galaxy S24 Ultra, its own flagship smartphone of the year, at today’s Unpacked event.
In addition to the new Ultra model, Samsung has of course also presented two smaller versions. In contrast to their big brother, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus have to do without a Qualcomm CPU, as our overview shows.
You can find out what technical data the Galaxy S24 Ultra still has in the following overview.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Technical data
Let’s start with the design: While there is no change in size for the Galaxy S24 Ultra – the diagonal remains the same 6.8 inches – Samsung is relying on one, similar to Apple before, with the iPhone 15 Titanium frame.
The back, however, consists of a »Corning Gorilla Glass Armor“-Material. However, you shouldn’t expect a weight reduction with the Galaxy S24 Ultra; according to Samsung the smartphone will just as difficult
The display itself continues to work 3.120 x 1.440 Pixeln (QHD+) and has a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hertz. Basically, Samsung promises an increased maximum brightness of up to 40 percent; In addition, thanks to the armor coating, your screen is not only protected, but is also said to have up to 75 percent fewer reflections.
When it comes to the processor, Samsung uses a “For Galaxy” version Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Compared to the regular chip version, this should shine with a higher clock speed and increased NPU performance. This is also necessary in order to be able to supply the AI features that were also presented at the Unpacked event with computing power.

The previous 10x zoom is replaced by a 5x zoom. Samsung justifies this step with the better everyday suitability of the combination of 50 MP and five times zoom. The 200MP-Sensor

- Ultra wide range camera: 12 MP (f/2.2)

The battery capacity of the Galaxy S24 Ultra remains the same 5.000 mAh also at the same level as its predecessor. There are two exciting changes in the connection options: In addition to what is considered to be extremely energy efficient UWB (Ultra broadband) the Samsung flagship can also do with the upcoming WiFi-7-Standard work.
What applies to the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus naturally also applies to the Ultra model. The delivery state is Android 14 with the new One UI 6.1 installed, which forms the basis for the new AI functions.
When it comes to support, Samsung makes an extended promise: This is what all S24 models will be like seven years will be provided with new Android versions and relevant security updates after publication.
