We already have new information on Hellblade 2, the new version of Ninja Theory exclusively for Xbox and PC. The studio has worked hard to improve the experience of the original game. Today we got to see a new preview of the game which will arrive on May 21 on Xbox consoles, PC and Game Pass.
It will be the first game to bring binaural audio to the entire environment and music. While in the first game, binaural sound only affected the voices in Senua’s head, now it will even affect music, creating a much richer and more immersive world.
The game will also arrive at a reduced price
However, the news is that fans of the physical format will be left without an edition, since the studio has decided to release the game only in digital format at a slightly more affordable price, $49.99. That’s slightly cheaper than the standard $79.99 for an Xbox exclusive game.
Neither Microsoft nor anyone from Ninja Theory has explained the reasons why there was no physical edition of the game. They only left us this brief note on Xbox Wire.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will be a game created from the heart, a game similar in length to the first Hellblade, with a focused narrative and sold only in digital format for $49.99 USD. And once again, you can expect to join Senua in understanding her world through perceptual puzzles driven by her experiences of psychosis, in brutal and visceral combat and in traversal gameplay, this time across landscapes harsh but beautiful Iceland. Basically, all of these elements intertwine into a unique visual and auditory experience, where everything is in service of Senua’s story. So you can expect more of the same, but this time with the support to push our ambitions for immersion, loyalty and richness much further than before.
