Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed that it would release its first update Crossing the Animals: New Horizons before the game is released. This update – now available for download – will give you access to more online players and much more. There are also a few other surprises in Version 1.1.0.
To thank users for downloading the update, Nintendo offers a free game switch. If you press it, you will get a standard boot-up screen and click sound. In the event you buy an Animal Crossing themed switch, you'll find this same model in that game. This update adds a special Nook Inc. rug, which can be purchased by Nook Miles.
Apart from that, the first update prepares players for Bunny Day celebrations, which take place between April 1 – 12 April. When the day arrives on April 1st (in real-time), a pool (Version 1.1.0a) will be created to activate the event. To meet Easter, you'll also make sure to link Nintendo's account.
Finally, all of these updates add support for the NoLLink app. This service (available within the Nintendo switchch Online app) will launch on March 20, at 13:00 JST. NookLink, as previously described, allows you to scan through QR Codes and interact with friends via text and voice mail.
