Evening surprise good evening. Sony has just announced the date for the very first State of Play of the year. Here’s when and how to watch it, as well as expected games.
The rumors about the next State of Play can finally come to an end. It has been rumored for a few weeks that the publisher will present a large part of the line-up of the PS5, but also the PlayStation VR 2. The current calendar is actually still very vague, beyond FF7 Rebirth and Rise of the Ronin. The manufacturer will correct the situation very soon with an event that promises generous announcements.
Where and when can you watch “State of Play”?
The rumor won’t last forever. Since last week, insiders and data miners have had a field day: an event around PS5 games has been prepared. A State of Play at this time of year wasn’t all that surprising, and the formalization seemed all the more immediate with one of them revealing a large portion of the line-up this weekend. Everything indicated that Sony had already uploaded its conference to YouTube and the announcement would be made immediately. It didn’t fail. On the evening of Monday, January 29th, the American manufacturer confirmed that a State of Play would be broadcast this week.
The date has been given for this Wednesday, January 31, 11 p.m. French time,
What games can we expect?
If the focus will clearly be on the partners’ PS5 games, it cannot be ruled out that some of the publisher’s productions will emerge. The Japanese giant had already taken this step in previous editions with God of War Ragnarok and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but Sony has not announced any major releases for this year. Perhaps we should expect more information about his service games in development, such as: B. Fairgames by Jade Raymond, published last May? See you this Wednesday evening to find out. As a reminder, the event would include:
- Rise of the Ronin
- Death Stranding 2
- Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
- Sonic Generations Remaster
- Silent Hill 2
- New Metro game
- Judas
- Until dawn
And you, what games would you like to see in this State of Play?
