The upcoming Capcom role-playing game Dragon’s Dogma 2 does without quest boards or markers for more immersion.
Capcom’s upcoming role-playing highlight Dragon’s Dogma 2 places great emphasis on immersion. For example, players only have a single memory slot, so every decision and its consequences must be carefully considered. A fast travel option is also only available to a limited extent.
It has now been officially confirmed that no quest boards will be included in the game. From a preview of IGN
Instead, NPCs will address the player directly with their quests. On top of that, fellow campaigners always help out with tips on special places.
The AI-controlled companions gain experience, skills and equipment and can be hired online by other players. If one of them knows about a quest through their adventures with another player, players can let them guide them there if they wish.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released on March 22, 2024 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
