- Playback decisions should influence Kay Vess’s reputation.
- Despite a fixed ending, the system ensures unpredictable twists and quests.
In Star Wars Outlaws, you explore the galaxy as Kay Vess and interact with various crime syndicates.
In an interview with GamesRadar+ Julian Gerighty, the game’s creative director, spoke about the reputation system. He explained that your decisions and your behavior had direct influence on Kay Vess’s reputation.
Reputation can change the entire course of the game
This reputation affects the game’s storyline, available tasks, and interactions with other characters. Similar to games like Grand Theft Auto 5 or Red Dead Redemption 2, breaking laws has consequences and can lead to prosecution.
Despite a specified end, the reputation system also offers different ways and twists in the game. Your actions should lead to various quests and influence the way you reach the end of the game.
