This month a new update and the ‘Getaway’ season will arrive to the popular ‘battle royale’ from EA and Respawn. There will be no new characters, but some game mechanics will radically change. We are going to know the changes that will come to the armor, shield and character level system in Apex Legends after the February 2024 update.

When is the ‘Getaway’ update coming to Apex Legends with the new armor and shield system?
Everything indicates that the update will be available from Monday February 12, 2024.
New armor and shield system
After the update, say goodbye to body shields. From that date on, each character will have a ‘legendary armor’ depending on the shield core. These are items that can be obtained from fallen enemies and can even be dropped if desired.
If we collect a higher level shield core, the armor will temporarily overload and the additional health is added to the shield for 30 seconds.
Character shields will continue to be used in other game modes, at least during this season.
EVO and legend levels
Following the arrival of the ‘Getaway’ update to Apex Legends On February 12, 2024, not only will the shield system change, but there is a new legend level that resets with each new match.
This system allows us to level up collecting EVO by dealing damage, takedowns, assists, executions, revives, interacting with the new Evodepots and Evoharvesters, and performing other interactions.
Las Evocosechadoras They appear randomly on maps during ‘Battle Royale’ matches during the first circle. By opening them, the squad will receive many EVO points. The Evodepósitos are a new rare loot item that grants a full level upon pickup.
