Legendary Blueprints In World Pal are the only way to get your hands on some of the best weapons and armor in the game.
There are in total 17 legendary items in Palworld and you can only craft one if you find the appropriate legendary blueprints. This does involve some effort, however, as legendary schematics are extremely rare.
Through this guide, we will show you how to find all legendary schematicsabandonment rates and how you can improve your chances of getting them back.

What are Legendary Blueprints in Palworld?
In Palworld, you can create many items for your character and friends, each available in one of five rarity levels (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary). The rarer an item is, the better it is. In the case of weapons, this means more damage, a bigger magazine, etc. Whereas, for armor, this translates to more durability, hit points and defense.
You will unlock most of Palworld’s schematics through the tech tree, however, it is not possible to obtain legendary schematics this way.
As soon as you have a legendary blueprint, you will automatically unlock the corresponding item for crafting, even if you have not yet unlocked it in the tech tree. So it’s very worthwhile to start looking for patterns early, especially if you’re still struggling with certain bosses. There are only two ways to obtain a legendary blueprint in Palworld:
Alpha Pals Drops
The safest way to get a legendary blueprint in Palworld is to farm Alpha Pals, each of which can stand behind a specific blueprint. This is a rare drop though, so you’ll probably need a few attempts before you get your hands on the pattern you want.
Legendary Blueprints can also be obtained when capturing Alpha Pals. This means that if you capture one and then kill it with the Meat Cleaver, you will have twice the chance of getting a legendary blueprint from it.
Found in chests
In addition to Alpha Pals, you can also find Legendary Blueprints in chests. These include chests of all rarity levels across the world, as well as chests available as rewards at the end of dungeons. It’s best to obtain Silver Keys and a Flying Buddy, then scour the higher-level areas for silver treasure chests.

What is the drop rate for legendary blueprints?
Although the exact drop rate for legendary schematics is still unknown, discussions on the Palworld subreddit suggest that it may be between 2.5% and 5%. This value can also vary between legendary schematics. It is clear that getting a legendary blueprint can take a long time, unless you are very lucky. For this reason, we recommend trying to obtain them by capturing and slaughtering Alpha Pals, as this will double your chances of earning a Legendary Blueprint.
What are legendary patterns?
Most craftable items in Palworld (at least in their base version) are available through the tech tree. However, there are a few items, such as the “Witch’s Hat”, that can only be crafted using blueprints and are not available as a technology. These are often cosmetic items whose diagrams can be found at traveling merchants.

How to get legendary blueprints faster in Palworld
If you want to specifically farm legendary patterns, there are a few ways to increase your chances. These include:
Change world settings
Catching and then killing Alpha Pals is currently the most effective way to farm legendary schematics, as it doubles your chance of obtaining a legendary schematic. If you want to be even more efficient, you can increase the spawn rate of Alpha Pals. To do this, open your global settings and make the following changes:
- Daytime speed: 5
- Night speed: 5
- Friends capture rate: 2
- Friends spawn rate: 3
With these settings, Alpha Pals spawn faster, are easier to catch, and will spawn in trios. Be careful though, this also makes the fight more difficult. If three bosses at once is too much for you, reduce the number of spawns again.
By the way, increasing the “Maximum number of items dropped in a world” setting does not actually increase the chance of Pal dropping a legendary blueprint. Instead, only the number of dropped items is increased – so you’ll get three instead of one blueprint (which at least gets you more gold).
Farm chests
If you need a change from constantly fighting Alphas or if Alphas are still too difficult for you, you can also farm chests. As you can see from the map below, there are chest spawn points all over the world and it’s easy to collect them with a flying buddy.

However, there are also some farming routes for chests that have established themselves in the community because they contain many chests and/or chests of particularly high quality within a short distance. These include the three wildlife reserves – the small islands to the north-east, south and west of the map. There is a good reason for this, as these are high level areas where high level friends and chests can be found.
