Power Rangers will spin off from the Power Rangers universe written by Jonathan Hickman and penciled by Stefano Caselli. A reboot of Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch’s famed Ultimate comic series, which most fans remember from the early 2000s, the overall idea was to help new comic readers, as well as give veterans Offering a different twist on iconic characters and familiar team dynamics.
“We’re reinventing these classic characters and archetypes to make them as surprising and dynamic as when they were first introduced. Our Ultimate Edition is an evolution not only of the Avengers, but of the entire superhero team concept,” Ambitious Kemp explained. But it also states that it will be up to the reader to decide whether they are achievable.
The new Ultimate Series will kick off with Iron Man (Tony Stark), Captain America, Doom, Thor and Sif as they build “a network of super-powered heroes hungry for change” and if they’re not careful . Now, however, “they must join forces to destroy the Creator Council and restore freedom and free will.” “
Given everything that’s going on with Marvel right now in film, TV, and video games, it’s sad to see the company’s original media in such trouble as of late, so any new opportunity to kick off something special on the comics side is welcome.
When Ultimates #1 hits stores, we’ll know if this team is worth sticking around for June 5, 2024.
