- There will be level scaling in the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree.
- However, this is only tied to the DLC area.
- So all players should be able to start at the same level.
The DLC Shadow of the Erdtree will be released soon for Elden Ring. What the expansion is about is still unclear, but it is already known that there is a new leveling system.
How Dexerto Based on a Famitsu interview, Miyazaki is said to have not only explained eight new weapon types in more detail, but also the level scaling in the DLC.
Level scaling for DLC area
A new progression system is intended to ensure that you cannot finish Shadow of the Erdtree within a very short time. Your attack power is then decoupled from your actual level, but this only applies within the DLC area.
This means that all players should be able to start the expansion from an almost identical base level. This avoids the problem that the expansion is too boring for advanced players and too difficult for beginners.
