The Polish team at Critical Hit Games has announced its game Nobody Wants to Die. A PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC title that seems to mix several influences, including Blade Runner and Bioshock.
Plaion most likely has surprises in store for its 2024 line up. After Persona 3 Reload or Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, the publisher announces Nobody Wants to Die. A narrative game in a dystopian universe, at the intersection of several games or films, planned for consoles and PC this year. And the first trailer reveals a very ambitious title on paper, particularly inspired by Blade Runner.
Blade Runner + Bioshock = Nobody wants to die
Have you ever wondered if it’s possible to mix big names like Blade Runner, Cyberpunk 2077, Bioshock or even LA Noire? NO ? Well, the Polish studio Critical Hit Games has taken this step and it gives us Nobody wants to die. An interactive noir novel that explores themes such as immortality and the dangers of transhumanism. Yes, of course there is also a bit of Deus Ex.
Nobody Wants to Die is set in the year 2329 in a dystopian version of New York. “In this dizzying dystopia, immortality is possible, but the price must be paid. To discover this futuristic and imaginative version of the Big Apple, Nobody Wants to Die invites you to play Inspector James Karra. A police officer who teams up with Sara Kai, a young recruit who will be able to manipulate time and use advanced technologies. And for a very specific goal, namely to track down the trail of a serial killer who is after it “the city’s elite”. Apparently the barrier between good and evil has disappeared and James Karra must learn to navigate between the two in order to successfully complete his mission.
In case you’re wondering, this is a first-person game. A software that is completely reminiscent of Blade Runner, but also Bioshock and therefore looks very promising if the little information and the announcement trailer are to be believed.
