One Punch Man has fun moments that make us smile, but it also has a good dose of mysteries to solve that make the saga more and more interesting. One of the things that we don't really know is the source of Saitama's power which he attributes to rigorous daily training, but which no one believes for obvious reasons. There is a theory what connects Saitama and Blast as two poles of almost the same reality and in which the second would have influenced the level of strength of the first.
One possibility that is considered is that Blast and Saitama are family, probably father and sonThere are several clues in the manga that seem to point to this particular relationship, and we are repeatedly told that Saitama and Blast have a very similar personality that makes them interested in fighting crime or getting in the way of enemies when they feel like it. Furthermore, Tatsumaki receives several very direct advice from Blast, just like Genos Receives Saitama's Sincere Comments and that they serve to motivate and inspire you.
After all, he knows nothing of Saitama's family or origins and perhaps that is a point in favor of this theory that would rest on that Blast has been out of service for almost 18 years from the beginning of the saga, so the timelines of both characters could fit perfectly. In another line, there are those who bet on a more professional connection between the characters, seeing Saitama as the subject of an experiment carried out by Blast to achieve improve human strength with scientific methods, something that would be a bombshell.
And there are also those who believe, and it is not something crazy, that Saitama and Blast are exactly the same person, which would be a quite spectacular revelation, since we would have to explain the why of its disappearance of the heroes panorama. This would be quite a surprise, but judging for the physical and personal resemblance, it would not be strange to discover that these two are part and all of the same reality.
