Farmer specializations play a big role in this Dragon’s Dogma 2 -You can effectively give your characters, as well as other characters you’ve retained, great passive abilities, resulting in some big effects as you explore Vermund, Battahl and beyond.
In this Dragon’s Dogma 2 In this guide we will explain how to unlock Farmer Specializations in Dragon’s Dogma 2. We will also show you a list of them all farmer specializationsand, most importantly, tell you how to change farmer specializations.
All farmer specializations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
From what we’ve seen, there are some six farmer specializations In Dragon’s Dogma 2. Below is a full list of all the farmer specializations we’ve come across so far:
- Surgeon: Gives the f armer the initiative to use remedies on both you and all farmers in your party
- Logistician: Allows the farmer to combine items from both your inventory and any farmer’s inventory
- Collector: Marks the locations of items available for searching Dragon’s Dogma 2 Map, including minerals for upgrading weapons and armor
- Peddler: Have the pledge offer to purchase items from your backpack at a specific price
- Forest Wordsmith: Teaches the farmers Elvish (helpful for visiting the Holy Bower)
- Aphonite: Forces the farmer to stop speaking (in most cases)
Since the effects of farmer specializations also serve as de facto advantages for your character, it’s worth diversifying your party so that each farmer following you has a different specialization. There is no point in doubling a farmer specialization; If a character knows how to translate Elvish or mark your map with resource locations, you don’t need another character with the same skills.
Unless you don’t want to hear about all those damn ladders. In this case, you should fill your group with farmers who have the “Aphonite” specialization.
You can filter farmers by specialization in specific Riftstones.
How to unlock farmer specializations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
You can unlock specializations for your characters via Specialization booksDisposable items that can change your main character’s specialization. Dragon’s Dogma 2 points out that you can find useful items by befriending people, and that’s no lie – you can earn specialization books by completing side quests and main character quests.
For example the Logistician’s Tome can be earned by completing the main quest “Heels of History”. After saving Malcolm by talking to the other children in the Vernworth slums, you’ll eventually be approached by Kendrick (who you may have met during “The Caged Magistrate”) while strolling through the city streets Logistician’s Tomes. This allows you to teach your main character the logistics specialization.
In fact, another tome can be acquired in virtually the same way. In the Vernworth Slums, revisit Malcolm, whom you rescued as part of the Heels of History quest. After you complete the quest, Malcolm will visit you while you are in Vernworth and give you the award Collector’s Tome on you. This allows you to teach a farmer the “Forage” specialization.
If you are looking for the Surgeon’s Tome, look no further than the Drug Predicament side quest, the search for Flora in Melve. Once you’ve acquired ingredients for Flora, you can find her in Vernworth near the Merchant District (which you’ll do as part of the Ornate Box quest). As thanks for your earlier help, she will give you the Surgeon’s Tome. This allows you to teach a farmer the “Chirurgeon” specialization.
It is worth noting that the methods of obtaining the specialization volumes in Dragon’s Dogma 2 seem somewhat random. For example, we had to wait more than an in-game week for Kendrick and Malcolm to give us their respective specialization books, and we couldn’t approach them about those books – they had to come to us first and start a conversation.
We will update this guide as we learn more methods to unlock specialization books Dragon’s Dogma 2.
