When the keynote begins, we’ll update this story with new products as they are announced. We expect Apple to announce updates to the iPad Pro and iPad Air, as well as a new Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard.
9:55 a.m. ET: The stream is live on Apple.com with artistic graphics that clearly mimic painting and drawing on an iPad.
10am: The event started with a lively intro from Apple Park and now Tim Cook.
10:01 a.m.: It’s the biggest day for iPads since its introduction.
10:02 a.m.: MacBook Air is the world’s best-selling 13-inch and 15-inch laptop.

Let Loose event: the latest rumors
Apple Store down: It took longer than usual, but the Apple Store was down before the event.
Apple Pencil Pro: According to code spotted on Apple Japan’s website describing the event’s main logo, Apple is preparing to introduce an Apple Pencil Pro to its ever-growing family of Apple Pencils. It would have features such as haptic feedback and a new tap gesture.
Apple Pencil eraser: An interactive teaser on Apple.com suggests that the Apple Pencil could have an eraser function built into the device.
Short and precise: The keynote is expected to last just over half an hour, making it one of Apple’s shortest special events.
