Say hello to Cassandra
Between Code 8 part 2 in February, The three-body problem in March and Parasyte The Gray Science fiction fans will be served in April this year Netflix
As we could see Dark More than five years ago, the Germans were pretty good at it, and Cassandra, the next German science fiction series, seems to have all the cards in hand to satisfy fans of the genre. The action takes place in Cologne, where a family moves into a house that has been empty for 50 years. However, this is no ordinary apartment as it is a question Germany’s first connected home. Built in the 70s, this residence is managed by a robot that is intended to support the family in their daily taskswhose goal, however, seems to have changed after 50 years without contact with humans…
When robots turn against men
Fifty years after the suspicious disappearance of its owners, Cassandra comes out of his guard to greet Samira (carried out by Mina Tander) and his family and wants to do his best, not to make their lives easier, but to ensure that they never let him down… A goal that gives you goosebumps and is perfectly anchored in the world of SF thrillers. We will undoubtedly find similarities with science fiction projects like archivea film in which a man tries to transplant his wife’s consciousness into a robot, or even Ex Machina where an android hatches a plan to escape the clutches of their creator.
Of course, the similarities are even more obvious with Smart house, a film in which a connected house pretends to be the mother of a family with two children. But we have the impression that Cassandra will be much more persistent than BEATand perhaps even takes inspiration from the robot dogs from “Metalhead,” the fifth episode of Season 4 of Black mirror…Anyway, we can’t wait to find out Cassandra in all its glory, and we’ll let you know as soon as the release date is announced!
