How to find the Mystic Spearhand vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2
There are two ways to obtain the Mystic Spearhand vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2, with the fFirst, complete the opening sections of the Readvent of Calamity quest..
To start Readvent of Calamity, you must first have completed at least one of Captain Brant’s quests, like Disa’s Plot or The Caged Magistrate. However, if you have already completed all of Brant’s quests, you may not be able to start Readvent of Calamity.
With one of these quests under your belt, it’s time to return to Melve. When you arrive, however, you will find that Melve is being attacked by a dragon. Again.
The dragon has contracted a pretty nasty disease, so focus your attacks on the blisters littering its body. This is a fairly easy task if you’re playing a ranged vocation, like Archer or Mage, but if you’re focused on melee, like a warrior, you’ll need to get close to the dragon. During the fight, you may notice a man with a unique fighting style…
After the fight – and don’t worry if the dragon flies away – you’ll have a cutscene with Ulrika, Sigurd and Lennart. Sigurd was the man who used the new fighting style, and by asking him questions about his way of fighting, he will unlock the Mystic Spearhand vocation.
You should be able to talk to him after the cutscene to unlock the Mystic Spearhand vocation. If you can’t do this, pass the time by staying at the inn or sitting on the bench until morning. When the sun rises, head to the ruined part of Melve to find Sigurd. It should be near the well. Don’t worry if he isn’t there, Sigurd isn’t gone forever.
If you miss Mystic Spearhand, however, there is a second way to obtain the Mystic Spearhand Voction, which involves find Sigurd after he leaves Melve.
Sigurd lives in Herse Village which is located southwest of Vernworth. However, before you can talk to him and learn about his unique fighting style, you will need to save him in the quest. Monster Slaughter.
If you follow the main story of the game, you will find yourself receiving this quest fairly early on. This is part of the first quests in the scenario given by Brent goose in Vernworth’s tavern. This quest will take you to Harve Village to help the soldiers who are facing a large number of Saurians. Saurians are weak to fire and can be weakened by damaging their tails.
After defeating the Saurians and helping the soldiers, you will be asked to take some time and come back to see the village once it has had a chance to rebuild. However, once you return, you will find that more Saurians have appeared and you will need to defeat them again.
Once done, you will be able to find Sigurd in the village.
