News culture “Not satisfactory” This Lord of the Rings actor is really not a fan of his character
Most of the actors in Peter Jackson’s trilogy have fond memories of the filming that forever shaped their careers. However, for several years this actor admitted that he was never a fan of the character he played.
An ultra-cult trilogy
More than two decades after the three films of Lord of the Rings by Peter JacksonMany consider it to be the best film adaptation of all time, if not the best feature film in the world. In any case, it’s hard to say that these films didn’t leave an impression on viewers. They already benefit from a huge fan base who are happy to be able to watch them regularly.
As for the actors, having spent several years in New Zealand filming these large-scale productions, they generally have very fond memories. It must be said that these few years have brought them closer together, but above all, their respective roles have been an incredible springboard for their careers. However, the experience was not so positive for everyone. We can quote John Rhys-Davies, who put himself in Gimli’s shoes. The latter couldn’t stand the prosthetics he wore for his figure because they ate away at his skin. DIn another register, Hugo Weaving, who was Lord Elrond in this saga, did not value his experience… Because of his character.
He doesn’t like his Lord of the Rings character
In an interview, Hugo Weaving, an actor also known for his role in the Matrix saga, admitted that he did not enjoy playing this character. Surprisingly, he compares this powerful elf lord to a specific object:
To be honest, it wasn’t the most satisfying character I’ve ever played. Elrond was a clotheshorse.
By “clothes rack” Hugo Weaving certainly meant that this character wears long, elegant clothes but (from a film perspective) has little influence on the plot.
