Trade with Manor Lords, the key to a prosperous kingdom
Among the many features present in LandlordsWe obviously find that trading is quickly becoming an important part of keeping your colony on the right track. Through trade, you can not only get rich, but also acquire many resources, the extraction of which may be difficult depending on the characteristics of your territory and colony. There are several ways to get started in trading and although accessing this system may seem difficult at first, it is ultimately quite easy to understand.
As mentioned earlier, trading with Manor Lords works in different ways. The main problem that interests us today concerns only trade in resources. In short, you can offer the various resources you have collected for sale, but you can also purchase them, thus diversifying your holdings and allowing you to develop your colony peacefully.. Everything is based on a specific building: the trading post, which allows the establishment of trade routes.
Before you get into business, you need to build a Trading Post, a building that can be found on the Trade tab of the Buildings menu. However, keep in mind that the location of your trading post plays a role in its performance. Therefore, it is recommended to build it near the Royal Road, the main road that crosses your starting region and connects it to the others. This strategic location allows you to facilitate the passage of traveling traders and their cargoes.
Once your trading post is built, you will need to assign at least one family to it, as well as a horse, which you can purchase directly from your building’s menu. Owning a horse makes it easier to transport goods, but is not mandatory. However, nothing will be effective until you establish trade routes. Here too it is very simple. You need to go to the Trade tab of the Trading Post menu, which then opens up to different categories of resources – Construction, Harvesting, Food, Crafting Materials, Goods and Military.
Then, for each resource, you will be given three options by clicking the “No Trade” button: import, export, or both. All you have to do is select the desired option, configure the number of resources required and finally click on the shopping cart image on the far right to set a trade route.. The game then takes care of the rest. Finally, keep in mind that trade is a cost to regional prosperity, which can be optimized by selecting the appropriate upgrades in your colony’s skill tree. We give you the freedom to choose the ones of your choice, experiment and forge your legend of the feudal lord.
