In the latest blow to the gaming industry, Take-Two Interactive Software has reportedly decided to close two of its subsidiaries, Private Division and Roll7, as well as Intercept Games, the developer behind Kerbal Space Program 2. The move adds to an unfortunate trend of job losses that hit the industry this year. Private Division, based in London, is known for titles such as OlliOlli and Rollerdrome. Roll7, its subsidiary, is about to close, and Take-Two is offering severance contracts to its employees. Similarly, Intercept Games, based in Seattle and responsible for Kerbal Space Program 2, intends to close its office, which will result in the loss of approximately 70 jobs.
Despite these closures, Take-Two has assured that Kerbal Space Program 2 will continue to receive updates, offering some reassurance to fans of the space flight simulation game.
